Mo leads MSA's consulting and research support practice. He serves as project manager and research and development lead for a laboratory at a major public research university, where he has led or contributed to more than a dozen research and development projects across technical and program-management roles.

His technical work includes energy-efficiency sensing and telemetry: experimental planning, instrumentation, embedded firmware, data pipelines, analysis, and technical reporting.

He has authored and contributed to competitive funding proposals resulting in more than $1 million in awarded federal research funding, including awards from the U.S. Department of Energy. His research is currently under peer review, and he has received recognition from the Washington NASA Space Grant Consortium and the Washington State Opportunity Scholarship.

His leadership record spans three levels: direct supervision of researchers; coordination across departments, subrecipients, and partner institutions on multi-party projects; and ownership of project budgets and resource allocation across active awards.

Recruitment and talent development

He serves as recruitment lead — running hiring for the laboratory from sourcing through interviewing and onboarding, and leading recruitment for SEAL and ISLA (Indigenous Students from Latin America). That experience bears directly on how MSA operates: a firm that promises principal-level delivery has to be good at identifying and keeping people who can work at that level.
