Scope boundaries

What we do not do

Knowing where the line sits is part of the service. MSA provides non-attest services only and is not a licensed CPA firm. We do not perform:

  • Financial statement audits
  • Reviews or compilations
  • Any engagement producing an assurance opinion
  • Attestation engagements of any kind
  • Legal advice or representation
  • Investment advice or securities recommendations

Working with your CPA

We prepare; they opine

When an engagement requires a CPA or auditor, organized records and clear supporting schedules help them conduct their review.

We work alongside your CPA or auditor directly: reconciled accounts, tied-out schedules, organized support, and answers to the request list. This gives your CPA organized supporting records for their review process.

If you don't have a CPA and need one, we will say so plainly rather than take work we shouldn't.

Next step

Start with a scope call.

Thirty minutes to establish what the work actually is. You get a written, fixed-fee proposal afterward — or an honest referral elsewhere.
